HubSpot Service Hub pricing starts at $20 per seat a month for Starter, $90 per seat for Professional on annual billing ($100 monthly) plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee, and $150 per seat for Enterprise plus $3,500 onboarding. Customer Agent, the AI that answers chats and email, uses 50 HubSpot Credits, or $0.50, per resolved conversation. Ten agents on Professional handling 5,000 conversations a month with the AI resolving 40 percent pay about $1,870 a month, and $970 of that is credits.

How much does HubSpot Service Hub cost per seat?

These are the US dollar prices on hubspot.com/pricing/service, read on October 8, 2026, together with HubSpot's Customer Agent knowledge base article and its agent ROI calculator. HubSpot sells Service Hub by seat. Starter uses Core Seats; Professional and Enterprise use Service Seats. View only seats are free on every plan.

Plan Per seat a month One time onboarding Credits a month Customer Agent
Free $0, up to 2 users None None No
Starter $20 list (shown at $7 during a limited 65 percent discount) None 500 No
Professional $90 annual, $100 monthly $1,500 required 3,000 Yes, 60 resolutions covered
Enterprise $150, through sales $3,500 required 5,000 Yes, 100 resolutions covered

The plan jump is steep. Starter gives you ticketing, live chat, shared inboxes and simple automation. The help desk workspace, knowledge base, SLAs, customer feedback surveys, the customer success workspace and Customer Agent all start at Professional. So a ten agent team on Starter that wants the AI moves from $200 a month to $900 a month plus $1,500 up front, before it has resolved a single conversation.

Third party price trackers disagree with each other on these numbers, partly because HubSpot changed Service Hub from bundled seats to per seat pricing in 2024 and has run Starter promotions since. Read the live page before you budget, and note that HubSpot shows prices in your local currency, so a colleague in Europe sees euro figures that do not convert one to one.

How much does HubSpot Customer Agent cost?

Customer Agent costs 50 HubSpot Credits per resolved conversation, and a credit costs $0.01, so each resolution is $0.50. HubSpot charges only when the agent resolves: several messages in one open conversation do not use more credits. Past the monthly allowance, extra usage is billed at $10 per pack of 1,000 credits. New Professional and Enterprise customers can turn the agent on for 14 days without using credits.

Three details in HubSpot's own definition decide your bill. First, a conversation counts as resolved when the agent replies with at least one answer drawn from a content source, or completes an action, unless the customer is handed to a person within 72 hours of their last message. HubSpot sets that status 72 hours after the visitor's last reply, so you see the week's spend with a lag. Second, a lead qualification also counts as a resolution, whether the visitor is qualified, partly qualified or not qualified. Third, if one customer raises separate issues over time, each can be its own resolution.

The included credits are small next to real volume. Professional's 3,000 credits cover 60 resolutions a month and Enterprise's 5,000 cover 100. The allowance resets monthly, does not roll over, and is an account wide pool that other HubSpot AI features draw from too. When it runs out and you have not bought capacity packs, the agent stops being assigned new conversations until the reset, and every chat goes to your team.

HubSpot Service Hub cost for real teams

Every bill below uses list prices, AI on every conversation where the plan allows it, and a 40 percent resolution rate. Year one includes the onboarding fee.

Team Seats Extra credits Per month Year one
3 agents, Starter, no AI agent $60 None $60 $720
5 agents, Professional, 1,500 conversations $450 $270 $720 $10,140
10 agents, Professional, 5,000 conversations $900 $970 $1,870 $23,940
10 agents, Professional billed monthly, 5,000 $1,000 $970 $1,970 $25,140
20 agents, Enterprise, 10,000 conversations $3,000 $1,950 $4,950 $62,900

Two things stand out. On Professional the credits overtake the seats at about 4,700 conversations a month for ten agents, so past that point the AI, not headcount, drives the bill. And the onboarding fee is a real share of year one for a small team: on five agents it adds 17 percent. Against other helpdesks, HubSpot's $0.50 is the lowest per resolution rate we have priced; our LiveChat alternatives page puts the same ten agents at 5,000 chats on HubSpot at about $1,933 with onboarding spread over two years, against $2,572 on LiveChat Growth and $2,830 on Intercom. The Help Scout alternatives and Zendesk alternatives pages run the same math for other team sizes.

Costs the HubSpot pricing page leaves out

Lead qualification is the quiet one. If your chat widget sits on pricing and demo pages, a large share of conversations are sales questions, and each qualification the agent records is billed like a solved support ticket. Before you pay $0.50 to qualify every visitor, a conversion audit of the pages that start those chats often shows the questions the page itself should answer.

The second is the knowledge base. Customer Agent resolves only when it can cite a content source, so a thin help center means a low resolution rate and more chats for your agents. HubSpot's ROI calculator assumes 65 percent; plan your budget on your own test rather than that figure. The third is the annual contract: Professional's $90 assumes annual billing, and Enterprise is sold through sales on annual terms.

When a custom agent costs less than Customer Agent

A custom support agent connected to HubSpot through its conversations and CRM APIs costs about $6,000 to $24,000 to build, or $440 to $1,750 a month spread over two years with hosting and upkeep, plus about $0.05 of model tokens per conversation. It pays no credits. Against Customer Agent on the same Professional seats, a lean build becomes cheaper at about 3,100 conversations a month. At 10,000 conversations the credits cost $1,970 a month and the lean custom agent about $940.

Below about 3,000 conversations, Customer Agent is the cheaper and faster choice, and HubSpot maintains it for you. A custom build earns its cost when answers depend on data outside HubSpot, such as orders, billing or product usage, or when the agent must take actions HubSpot's agent cannot. Check that the API features you need are available on your tier before scoping. On BotGigs you can describe that scope and see matched chatbot developers with their rates and delivery location up front, and our guide to evaluating an AI agent before you ship it covers the test you should run on past tickets first.

HubSpot Service Hub pricing questions buyers ask

Is HubSpot Service Hub free?

There is a free plan for up to two users with basic ticketing and live chat. It has no Customer Agent, no help desk workspace and no knowledge base, so a support team with more than two people will be on Starter at $20 a seat or Professional at $90 a seat on annual billing.

Does HubSpot Service Hub Professional require onboarding?

Yes. HubSpot's pricing page states that Professional carries a required one time onboarding fee of $1,500, and Enterprise one of $3,500. The fee is not included in the per seat price, so add it to year one when you compare HubSpot with tools that have no setup fee.

Is Customer Agent included in Service Hub Professional?

The feature is included, but resolutions are paid in HubSpot Credits. Professional includes 3,000 credits a month, enough for 60 resolved conversations at 50 credits each. After that each resolution costs $0.50, billed through capacity packs at $10 per 1,000 credits.

How much is HubSpot Service Hub for 10 users?

$200 a month on Starter at list price, $900 a month on Professional with annual billing ($1,000 monthly) plus $1,500 onboarding, or $1,500 a month on Enterprise plus $3,500 onboarding. With Customer Agent resolving 2,000 conversations a month on Professional, add about $970 in credits.

Is HubSpot Service Hub cheaper than Zendesk?

For AI heavy teams, usually yes. Zendesk Suite Team is $55 a seat against HubSpot's $90, but Zendesk bills AI agents at $1.50 per verified resolution on a commitment against HubSpot's $0.50. Ten agents at 5,000 conversations with 40 percent resolved by AI cost about $1,933 a month on HubSpot and about $3,530 on Zendesk.
