Drift is being sunset, seven replacements priced

Drift alternatives, alternatives to Drift and every Drift chatbot alternative priced after the sunset

Clari + Salesloft is winding Drift down and handing its customers to 1mind. If your pipeline still starts in a Drift widget, you have to pick a replacement before your contract decides for you. We read the pricing pages of every serious option and put them on one monthly number.

the short answer

The best Drift alternative depends on your CRM and your budget. Salesforce teams that want an AI SDR on the site usually shortlist Qualified, which publishes no price. Warmly is the priced equivalent at $20,000 a year for Inbound Chat and $30,000 for AI Inbound Autopilot. HubSpot and Intercom customers can move chat into a tool they already pay for, at $0.50 and $0.99 per resolved conversation. A custom chat agent on your own CRM and calendar runs about $540 to $2,500 a month all in, against the roughly $2,500 a month Drift Premium was reported to cost.

What happened

Why teams are looking for a Drift alternative now

Drift did not fade out on its own. Three events in eighteen months moved it from the default B2B chat tool to a product with no roadmap.

  1. 01

    Early 2024

    Salesloft acquires Drift

Drift becomes one module inside a sales engagement suite rather than a standalone company.

  2. 02

    August to September 2025

    The OAuth token breach

Attackers used stolen Drift integration tokens to reach connected Salesforce and Google Workspace data at hundreds of companies. Salesloft took the Drift chatbot offline while it investigated.

  3. 03

    March 5, 2026

    The sunset announcement

After the Clari merger, Clari + Salesloft announced the gradual sunset of Drift and an exclusive referral of its clients to 1mind. No single end date was published.

The practical consequence: the widget keeps running for now, but nothing new ships, and your security team will ask why a tool that leaked integration tokens still has write access to the CRM. Most buyers we see treat the renewal date as the real deadline and start the switch a quarter before it.

The audit

Alternatives to Drift and what their own pricing pages say

Nearly every Drift alternatives list ranking today is written by one of the alternatives. We do not sell a chat product, so nothing of ours is in this table. Prices were read from each vendor page in September 2026, except where the price column says otherwise.

Option Published price What the AI does Best for
Drift (baseline) Not published. Third-party reviews report Premium at about $2,500 a month ($30,000 a year), seats about $80 a user Playbooks, routing and an AI chatbot. Being sunset, no new development Nobody signing a new contract
1mind Not published AI agents for website inbound, in-product help and live sales calls, with voice and video personas Drift clients who accept the official referral and want an avatar on calls
Qualified Premier, Enterprise and Ultimate, all "Contact us". Premier covers 250,000 web sessions a month Piper, an AI SDR for web, email, voice and video, meeting booking, Salesforce routing Salesforce-centric B2B sales teams with high site traffic
Warmly Inbound Chat $20,000 a year ($6,500 a quarter). AI Inbound Autopilot $30,000 a year ($9,750 a quarter). Visitor identification alone $10,000 AI chatbot plus company level visitor identification and routing; Autopilot adds unlimited AI agents Teams that also want to know which accounts visited
HubSpot Service Hub Professional $90 a seat a month on annual terms ($100 monthly), $1,500 onboarding. Customer Agent 50 credits ($0.50) per resolved conversation since April 14, 2026 Customer Agent answers and hands off inside HubSpot; Prospecting Agent is $1.00 per recommended lead Companies whose CRM is already HubSpot Pro or Enterprise
Intercom Fin Seats $29, $85 or $132 a month on annual terms, plus $0.99 per Fin outcome and $9.99 per qualified lead Answers, runs workflows and hands off; an outcome includes a completed handoff Product-led companies where chat is support and sales at once
Zoho SalesIQ About $10, $17 and $25 per operator a month in third-party listings (Zoho renders prices by region). Bot sessions from 25,000 a month Chatbots and Zia AI answers, visitor tracking, Zoho CRM sync Budget-led teams, especially on Zoho CRM
Custom chat agent No plan. A developer builds it, typically 80 to 200 hours ($4,800 to $30,000 at $60 to $150 an hour) Whatever you specify: ICP qualification, calendar booking, CRM write back, pricing answers from your own docs Teams with a defined qualification process and a CRM they control

Three of the seven vendors publish nothing at all, and two of them (1mind and Qualified) are the ones most often named as the natural successor. That is normal for enterprise sales tools and it is also why buyers overpay: you walk into the call with your Drift renewal as the only anchor. Warmly's $20,000 and HubSpot's per-resolution rate are the two public numbers worth bringing to that call. Lighter widgets such as Tidio, Chatbase and Crisp also turn up on these lists; we priced them on our Tidio alternatives page, but they are support chat tools, not pipeline tools.

One unit

Every Drift chatbot alternative on one monthly bill

Our assumptions: three seats where a tool charges per seat, and between half and all of the AI conversations counted as billable outcomes (for a sales chat, a handoff or a booked meeting is an outcome, so the upper end is realistic). Custom assumes $290 to $750 a month of hosting and upkeep, the build spread over 24 months, and about $0.05 of model tokens per conversation.

Website conversations a month 1,000 3,000 10,000
Drift Premium (reported) $2,500 $2,500 $2,500 plus any tier upgrade
Warmly Inbound Chat $1,667 $1,667 $1,667 ($2,500 on Autopilot)
HubSpot, 3 Pro seats + Customer Agent $520 to $770 $1,020 to $1,770 $2,770 to $5,270
Intercom Advanced, 3 seats + Fin $750 to $1,245 $1,740 to $3,225 $5,205 to $10,155
Custom agent, lean build $540 $640 $990
Custom agent, expensive build $2,050 $2,150 $2,500
Qualified, 1mind Quote Quote Quote

Flat fees win at volume

Per-outcome pricing is cheapest at 1,000 chats and most expensive at 10,000. Warmly and a custom build do not move with volume.

A lean build beats Warmly

At $490 fixed plus $0.05 a chat, a lean custom agent stays under Warmly Inbound Chat up to about 23,500 conversations a month.

An expensive build never does

At $2,000 fixed, a custom agent only beats Warmly Autopilot below about 10,000 conversations, and never beats Inbound Chat.

Divide each cell by the meetings your Drift widget booked last quarter and you have a cost per meeting you can defend in a budget review. The same arithmetic, applied to outbound instead of inbound, is on our AI SDR pricing page. One caution on the Intercom row: when Fin qualifies a sales lead, Intercom bills a $9.99 qualification instead of a $0.99 outcome, so 300 qualified leads add about $3,000 a month. The details are in our Intercom Fin pricing breakdown.

Pick by situation

Which alternative to Drift fits your stack

Salesforce and a big SDR team

Qualified is built for this. Get the quote in writing and compare it with Warmly Autopilot at $30,000 before you sign a multi-year term.

HubSpot Pro or Enterprise

Turn on HubSpot chat and Customer Agent first. At $0.50 per resolved conversation it is the cheapest packaged option up to about 3,000 chats a month.

Chat is support and sales at once

Intercom with Fin handles both inboxes. Budget carefully above 3,000 conversations, where per-outcome billing passes a flat fee.

You want to know who visited

Warmly bundles visitor identification with chat, which Drift sold as a separate feature. Useful if your SDRs work named accounts.

Tight budget, Zoho CRM

Zoho SalesIQ covers chat, bots and CRM sync for a small per-operator fee. Expect more setup and less polish.

A defined qualification process

A custom agent asks exactly your questions, books on your calendars and writes to your CRM fields. It pays off when volume is high or rules are specific.

How to switch

Replacing Drift without losing a quarter of inbound pipeline

The value in a Drift account is the routing logic and the conversation history, not the widget. Move those deliberately.

01

Revoke and rotate the integrations

Before anything else, review every connected app Drift had in Salesforce, Google Workspace and Slack, revoke what you do not need and rotate the rest. Your security team will ask.

02

Export playbooks and transcripts

Write down every playbook, routing rule and qualification question, and export the last two quarters of conversations. The questions that booked meetings become your test set.

03

Map the CRM fields

List which Drift fields feed lead source, campaign attribution and round robin assignment. Reporting breaks quietly if the new tool writes to different fields.

04

Run both on the same 50 conversations

Replay real questions through the candidate and score answer quality, qualification accuracy and booking rate before a single visitor sees it.

05

Switch pages in stages

Start on pricing and demo pages, where intent is highest, compare meetings booked week over week, then roll the new widget out across the site.

Build it

What a custom Drift chatbot alternative includes

A custom build is not a science project. Most Drift replacements we see scoped are the same five pieces, and a competent chatbot developer has shipped each of them before. The difference from a packaged tool is that the qualification questions, the routing rules and the CRM fields are exactly yours, and the running cost stays near $0.05 a conversation instead of a seat or outcome fee.

Before any build goes live, score it on real transcripts; our guide to evaluating an AI agent before you ship it covers the test set, and the architecture itself is in how to build an AI SDR agent.

  • Answers from your own content

Retrieval over product docs, pricing and case studies, with guardrails on what it may quote.

    20 to 50 hours

Your questions, enrichment lookups and a score that decides route, book or nurture.

    10 to 30 hours
  • Calendar booking and round robin

The honest version

Where BotGigs fits, and where it does not

BotGigs does not sell a chat widget. It is where you hire the person who builds or configures the replacement. Describe the playbooks Drift runs today, your CRM, your calendar tool and your monthly conversation volume, and get back a scoped hire brief with matched chatbot developers, their rates and their delivery location. Posting the job is $99 a month.

If you are on HubSpot Pro and book a few dozen meetings a month from chat, you probably do not need us: switch on Customer Agent and spend the afternoon on routing. Hiring pays off when the rules are specific, when volume is past a few thousand conversations, or when a packaged tool wants a five-figure contract for something your stack can do. For a firm rather than an individual, the AI chatbot development company page compares what agencies charge, and if the chat is mostly support, see AI customer service agent pricing.

Questions

Drift alternative questions buyers actually ask

Is Drift shutting down?

Yes. On March 5, 2026, Clari + Salesloft announced the gradual sunset of Drift, its conversational marketing product, and said it will refer existing Drift clients to 1mind as the successor under an exclusive agreement. The announcement gives no single end date, so each customer has to confirm the cutoff for its own contract with its account team.

What is the best alternative to Drift?

For a Salesforce-centric sales team that wants an AI SDR on the website, Qualified is the closest like for like replacement, but it publishes no price. Warmly publishes one, $20,000 a year for Inbound Chat. Teams already on HubSpot or Intercom can move chat into the tool they pay for. A custom chat agent built on your CRM and calendar costs about $540 to $2,500 a month all in at 1,000 to 10,000 conversations.

How much did Drift cost?

Drift never published list prices in its last years. Third-party pricing reviews consistently report Premium at about $2,500 a month, commonly sold as a $30,000 annual contract, with extra seats around $80 a user a month and Advanced and Enterprise quoted individually. Use your own renewal quote as the baseline for any comparison.

What replaced Drift chat?

Clari + Salesloft named 1mind, which sells AI agents it calls Superhumans for website inbound, in-product guidance and live sales calls, as the exclusive successor for Drift clients. You are not obliged to follow the referral. Qualified, Warmly, HubSpot, Intercom, Zoho SalesIQ and custom built agents all cover the website chat job.

Is Qualified a good Drift alternative?

For Salesforce shops, usually yes. Qualified sells Piper, an AI SDR agent for website, email, voice and video conversations, with Salesforce integration and meeting booking on every plan. The catch is price: all three plans, Premier, Enterprise and Ultimate, say contact us, so you negotiate without a public anchor.

Can I build my own Drift replacement?

Yes. A website chat agent that answers product questions, qualifies against your ICP, books on your reps' calendars and writes the lead to Salesforce or HubSpot is a common build of about 80 to 200 hours. At $60 to $150 an hour that is $4,800 to $30,000, and model tokens run about $0.05 a conversation.
