Synthflow's pricing page now lists a single tier: Enterprise, with contracts from $30,000 a year. The $29 to $449 monthly plans that small businesses and agencies used to start on are gone from the page. For most US buyers the practical Synthflow alternatives are Retell AI at about $0.13 a minute, Bland AI at $0.14, ElevenLabs Agents at roughly $0.10 to $0.14 and Telnyx at about $0.056, all pay as you go. At those rates the $30,000 floor buys roughly 17,900 to 44,600 minutes a month, which is far more than a typical small business phone line ever uses.

How much does Synthflow cost now?

From $30,000 a year, on Synthflow's own page. The page says final pricing is scoped around call volume, concurrency, telephony setup, integrations, security needs and launch support, and it shows no per-minute rate, no included minutes and no self serve plan. That works out to $2,500 a month before a single call is answered.

You will still find third party guides describing a Synthflow pay as you go plan built from a voice engine, model and telephony, landing around $0.13 a minute. We could not find that plan on the vendor pricing page, and at least one other guide says it no longer exists. Treat it as unconfirmed and ask Synthflow sales directly if it matters to you. Everything else in this article is built on numbers the vendors print themselves.

What are the best Synthflow alternatives?

The honest answer is a short list, because most buyers leaving Synthflow want the same thing it used to sell: a phone agent they can set up without a large contract. We read each vendor pricing page directly. Per-minute figures assume a GPT 4.1 class model, a standard voice and US telephony, and are worked through line by line on our voice AI platform cost comparison.

Alternative Published pricing All-in per minute Closest to Synthflow if you want
Retell AI $0.055 infrastructure plus itemized voice, model and telephony. 20 concurrent calls included About $0.13 A managed builder with every cost line visible
Bland AI Start with no monthly fee at $0.14 a connected minute, or Build at $299 a month and $0.12 $0.14 (model and voice included) One bundled rate and no token math
ElevenLabs Agents Plans from $6 to $990 a month with 75 to 12,375 minutes, then $0.08 a minute. Model and telephony billed at cost About $0.10 to $0.14 The most natural voices and many languages
Vapi $0.05 hosting plus pass-through transcription, model, voice and telephony About $0.09 to $0.14 Maximum control, with a developer doing the setup
Telnyx $0.05 including transcription and voice, model tokens and carrier on top About $0.056 with its hosted open model The lowest unit cost and numbers on the same bill

Notice what is not on the list. There is no clean like for like replacement for Synthflow at a small business price, because the thing that made Synthflow attractive was the combination of a visual builder and a low monthly entry point. Retell AI and Bland AI come closest on setup. Vapi and Telnyx come closest on price, but they expect someone technical to wire the agent up. ElevenLabs sits in between. If the choice narrows to those two, our Retell AI pricing vs Vapi comparison works out where the 20 included Retell lines outweigh Vapi's cheaper minute.

How many minutes does $30,000 buy on each alternative?

This is the comparison that decides the question for most buyers. Divide the Synthflow floor by each alternative's all-in minute and you get the volume at which the contract stops costing you extra. Where we give a range above, the table uses the midpoint.

Alternative Minutes a year for $30,000 Minutes a month Three minute calls a month
Telnyx at $0.056 535,714 44,643 About 14,900
Vapi at $0.116 258,621 21,552 About 7,200
ElevenLabs Agents at $0.12 250,000 20,833 About 6,900
Retell AI at $0.13 230,769 19,231 About 6,400
Bland AI at $0.14 214,286 17,857 About 6,000

Put a real business next to those numbers. A US dental office, law firm or HVAC company taking 300 calls a month at three minutes each uses 900 minutes. On Retell AI that is about $117 a month, or $1,404 a year, which is 4.7 percent of the Synthflow floor. The minimum contract would cover that line for more than 21 years. Unless you are running around 6,000 calls a month or more, the $30,000 is paying for something other than minutes.

That something can be worth it. Synthflow's page says the contract is scoped around integrations, security needs and launch support, and a large operator may genuinely want a vendor to own the launch. But that is a services purchase, and it is worth pricing as one against the alternative of paying a builder directly.

Is there a no-code alternative to Synthflow?

Yes, with a caveat about where the code actually hides. Retell AI, Bland AI and ElevenLabs Agents all let you configure an agent, a prompt and a phone number from a dashboard, and a simple answering agent can go live that way. The part that is not no-code on any platform, Synthflow included, is connecting the agent to your own systems: checking a live calendar, writing a lead into your CRM, looking up an order, or transferring to the right person by rule.

Booking is the most common example. An agent that promises an appointment has to read and write real availability, so it needs to sit on top of the scheduling software your team already books from rather than a calendar nobody checks. That integration is usually a webhook or API call, and it is where most dashboard-built agents stall.

Synthflow alternatives for agencies

Agencies that resold voice agents to local clients feel the change hardest, because a fixed floor lands on margin rather than on usage. As a worked example, an agency charging each client $300 a month for a managed agent needs nine clients just to cover $2,500 a month before paying for a single minute. On a pay as you go platform the same agency's cost scales with the clients it actually has.

The trade is operational. Without Synthflow's builder you need a repeatable way to stand up, monitor and change agents across accounts on Retell AI, Vapi or ElevenLabs. Agencies that do this well keep one template agent per vertical, one set of integrations, and a developer who owns both, which is a far smaller fixed cost than the contract.

Should you build on Retell AI or Vapi instead of buying Synthflow?

For most buyers under about 19,000 minutes a month, yes, and the build is a separate decision from the platform. The platform bill is the minute. The build is the prompts, the tools the agent can call, the integrations, the transfer logic and the test calls that prove it works on your real callers. That work is the same whichever platform you choose, and it is the part worth paying a specialist for.

If that is the route you take, describe the agent once in a hire brief on BotGigs and get matched to voice AI agent developers who have shipped on these platforms, with their rates and delivery location visible before you commit. A developer who has built on Retell AI and Vapi can also tell you in one call which of the two suits your call flow, which saves the most expensive mistake here, building twice.

If what you really want is not a platform at all but calls answered, compare the finished products first. An AI receptionist service charges a monthly fee with the build included, and for businesses where a human voice still matters, a live answering service prices by the minute or call with no setup.

When is Synthflow still the right choice?

When your volume clears the break-even and you want the vendor accountable for launch. A contact center running 20,000 minutes a month or more is already spending in the range of the floor on any platform, so the contract stops being a premium and becomes a negotiation. Add procurement requirements, a security review and a preference for one throat to choke, and a scoped enterprise deal can be the simpler buy.

Below that volume, ask Synthflow sales for the per-minute rate inside the contract and compare the whole year, not the floor. Some third party guides report enterprise rates near $0.07 a minute at scale, which would matter a lot at 50,000 minutes a month and not at all at 900. Get it in writing either way.

The short version

Synthflow's pricing page now starts at $30,000 a year, which is $2,500 a month before any calls. The same money buys roughly 17,900 to 44,600 minutes a month on Bland AI, Retell AI, ElevenLabs Agents, Vapi or Telnyx, so the contract only pays for itself above about 19,000 minutes a month against Retell. For a small business line of a few hundred calls, a pay as you go platform costs around $100 a month in minutes, and the money that matters is the one time build, which is best spent on a developer who has done it before.
