Lindy AI pricing is per seat: Plus is $29.99 a user a month with 3,000 credits, Pro is $99.99 with 15,000 credits and Max is $199.99 with 35,000 credits, pooled across the workspace. Enterprise is a custom quote. A credit is worth about one cent, so an everyday request costs roughly $0.02 to $2.50 and a heavy research or build job $2.50 to $25. There is no free plan any more, no annual discount on the live page, and every person who uses Lindy needs a seat, which is the line that decides what a team really pays.
How much does Lindy AI cost per month?
Lindy now sells itself as an AI teammate that lives in Slack, email and iMessage rather than a no-code agent builder, and the price list changed with it. These are the plans on lindy.ai/pricing, read in September 2026, with the effective price of one credit worked out from each.
| Plan | Price per user | Credits per user | Cost per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plus | $29.99 a month | 3,000 | $0.0100 |
| Pro (adds computer use, 3 inboxes) | $99.99 a month | 15,000 | $0.0067 |
| Max (5 inboxes) | $199.99 a month | 35,000 | $0.0057 |
| Enterprise (SSO, SCIM, HIPAA BAA, audit logs) | Custom quote | Shared usage plus bonus credits | Not published |
| Top-up credits | $10 per 1,000 | Carry over, never expire | $0.0100 |
| Overage (opt-in toggle) | 2x the regular credit price | Billed as used | About $0.02 |
Two details are easy to miss. First, plan credits do not roll over, while top-up credits do, so a team that runs short every month is better off buying blocks of 1,000 than leaving the overage toggle on. Second, Lindy's own documentation still shows slightly different figures ($30, $100 and $200) from the marketing page. The difference is a cent, but it is a sign the price list moved recently and will probably move again.
What does a task cost on Lindy?
Lindy no longer publishes a per-action price. Its pricing documentation groups work into three bands instead: everyday asks at 2 to 250 credits, deep work at 250 to 1,000 and big builds at 1,000 to 2,500. At the Plus rate of one cent a credit that is $0.02 to $2.50 for an everyday ask, $2.50 to $10 for deep work and $10 to $25 for a big build. On Max the same work costs about 43 percent less per credit.
The band is wide because the model and the number of steps drive it. Until May 2026 Lindy documented most tasks at 1 to 3 credits on basic models and about 10 on large ones. That older figure is still the best guide to the cheap end: triaging an email or filing a meeting note is a few credits, while an agent that browses the web, reads ten pages and writes a brief lands in the hundreds. In practice, a Plus seat's 3,000 credits buys anywhere from 12 heavy everyday asks to 1,500 light ones a month. Nobody can tell you where your team will land without running a week of real work and reading the usage log, and that is the one test worth doing before you buy seats for everyone.
Voice is the other gap. Lindy's phone agent used to be documented at 20 credits a minute in the US, about $0.19 a minute, plus $10 a month per number. The current pages no longer mention voice pricing at all. If calls are the job, a platform that prices the minute line by line is easier to budget: our Retell AI pricing vs Vapi breakdown puts a full voice agent minute at about $0.09 to $0.25.
Is Lindy AI worth it for a small team?
For one owner or a small team that lives in Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, usually yes. $29.99 a month for an assistant that triages the inbox, drafts replies, records meetings and chases follow-ups is cheap if it saves an hour a week. The per-seat model is what changes the answer as the team grows, because each person who uses Lindy needs a seat even if they only ask it for two things a day.
Here is the arithmetic that matters. Five people on Plus pay $149.95 a month for 15,000 pooled credits. One Pro seat gets the same 15,000 credits for $99.99, but only one person can use it. So Lindy's price for a team is really a price for access, not for work, and the credits are rarely what runs out first. Connected inboxes are the other limit worth checking: Plus allows 2, Pro 3, and Max and Enterprise 5. A sales or support team that works out of several shared mailboxes will hit that before it hits the credit cap, which is why some teams first pull every mailbox into one unified inbox for all their IMAP accounts and point the assistant at that instead.
Lindy AI alternatives and what they cost
The honest comparison is by billing unit, because every tool in this space counts something different. Prices below are from each vendor's own pricing page in September 2026.
| Tool | Entry price | Billing unit | Better than Lindy when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zapier Agents | About $33.33 a month (annual) for 1,500 activities | Activities: each trigger, answer, action or search | The agent mostly acts inside apps Zapier already connects |
| Gumloop | Pro from $37 a month, 20,000 credits, unlimited seats | Credits at $0.005 each: model cost plus an 8 percent fee | Many people need access and you do not want to pay per seat |
| n8n Cloud | Starter EUR 20 a month (annual), 2,500 executions | One full workflow run, however many steps | Workflows have many steps; also free to self-host |
| Make | Core from $9 a month for 10,000 credits | Credits: most actions cost 1 | High volume of simple, rule-based steps |
| Microsoft Copilot Studio | $200 a month for 25,000 Copilot Credits | 2 credits a generative answer, 5 an agent action | The company runs on Microsoft 365 and Teams |
| Relevance AI | Enterprise only, no public price | Custom vendor credits | You want a sales-led rollout with calling agents |
Gumloop is the clearest Lindy AI alternative on price for a team, because it charges for work and not for people: at $0.005 a credit its unit is half Lindy's Plus rate, and seats are unlimited. Zapier and Make win when the agent is really a set of app-to-app actions with a little reasoning on top. n8n bills a whole workflow run as one execution, which makes long multi-step jobs cheap. Lindy's advantage is that it works as a teammate out of the box, with no workflow to design, and that convenience is what the seat price buys. Our AI agents for small business page runs the same unit test across nine products, including the support agents billed per resolution.
When a custom agent costs less than Lindy
A custom agent built for one job, say reading inbound requests, checking them against your CRM and drafting the reply, is typically a $6,000 build at marketplace rates. Spread over 24 months and add about $100 a month to host and run it, and it costs roughly $350 a month no matter how many people use it.
- On Plus, 12 seats cost $359.88 a month, so a team of 12 or more that needs the same job done already pays more than the build.
- On Pro, the line is 4 seats ($399.96).
- On Max, it is 2 seats ($399.98).
Price is only half the reason. The other half is reach: Lindy connects to thousands of apps through integrations, but not to your internal database, your custom ERP or the legacy portal your operations team still logs into. If the job lives there, no plan tier fixes it. The detailed hours behind that $6,000 figure, by agent type and at US rates, are in our AI agent development cost audit, and the build an AI agent page explains how a scoped build runs from brief to launch.
Does Lindy AI have a free plan?
No. The free tier with 400 monthly credits that most reviews still mention is gone from the live pricing page. New teammates who join through Slack get a 7 day trial, but direct sign-ups are billed right away. Treat any article quoting a free plan, or older plans such as Starter at $19.99 or Business at $299, as out of date.
Is Lindy AI HIPAA compliant?
Only on Enterprise. Lindy states it is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant on every plan, but a signed business associate agreement for HIPAA, along with SSO, SCIM and audit logs, is listed for Enterprise alone. A US clinic or health business handling patient data should budget for an Enterprise quote, or for a custom agent deployed in its own HIPAA-eligible cloud account.
How to decide in one afternoon
Write down the three jobs you want an agent to do, who needs to use it, and which systems it has to touch. If the systems are Gmail, Calendar, Slack and common SaaS, and fewer than about a dozen people need access, start a Lindy Plus seat and read the usage log after a week. If more people need it, compare Gumloop's unlimited seats. If the job touches a system no platform reaches, or the seat count is already past the break-even above, describe the job in the hire brief at the top of this page and get a scoped effort band from a developer who has built one. BotGigs pricing is $99 a month on Growth, with no hire fee, and you agree the rate with the developer directly.
